T.H. Tree Services Local Authority & Trading Standards Approved
T.H. Tree Services has recently become local authority and trading standards approved. This is a great achievement, as it means that we are now approved tree surgeon contractors for the local authority of Essex, and smaller parish councils within the county, and are also part of the Trading Standards ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme.
These recognitions are not to be taken lightly, as there are rigorous procedures in place in order to be awarded them. By becoming part of the Buy with Confidence scheme and being local authority approved, our customers have complete peace of mind that they will receive the highest level of service from us. Here are the reasons why:
Local Authority Approved Tree Surgeons
In order to be granted local authority approval, there are certain standards which must be met. T.H. Tree Services has provided proof of NPTC and LANTRA tree surgeon qualifications, and demonstrated that we are up to date with current legislation, as well as providing proof of sufficient insurance at a higher-than-average limit (exceeding that of the average company’s £5 million pounds liability).
Our qualifications mean that we are able to operate chippers, stump grinders and all other associated tree surgery machinery. Our equipment also needs to be independently tested every 6 months, and records kept of its condition, in order to validate our insurance.
The company also holds a LOLER (Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulation) certificate of climbing and rigging equipment. This means that all of the equipment we use when working in trees is CE marked and designed for the intense load bearing stresses which tree work puts on tree surgery equipment. What’s more, Local Authority Approval means that we are a company respected and trusted by the local council, and we are proud to have received praise for the tidy conditions our sites are left in, as well as the friendly, courteous manner of all of our tree surgeons.
Buy with Confidence Scheme
The Buy with Confidence scheme is designed to allow customers to avoid the pitfalls of rogue traders and is administered by local authority Trading Standards services. In order to become a Buy with Confidence member, a business must pass a set of tailored background checks, including having any complaints history reviewed and receiving a visit from Trading Standards. Good references from past customers are required, and all applicants must agree to abide by the scheme’s code of conduct; there may even be a need for a criminal records check, so it’s quite obvious that being admitted into the scheme is not a straightforward matter.
Maintaining Standards
Furthermore, both Local Authority Approval and the Buy with Confidence scheme, once awarded, are not maintained lightly. Our conduct will be continually monitored from here on in to ensure that we do not let our customers down; the good news for our clients, of course, is that they can rest assured that when dealing with T.H. Tree Services, they will receive the very highest level of customer service and will be treated fairly and courteously.
